Farmington Energy Efficiency Initiative

Rising energy costs are taking an increasingly bigger bite out of everyone’s bottom line.  The fact of the matter is that you, along with everyone else, utilize and waste more energy than you need to.  And that extra energy and waste costs you money – money that you could use to grow your business.

The Town of Farmington has partnered with CTenergy Programs, C-PACE, and other organizations to help improve the competitiveness and profitability of our business community.  By choosing to participate in the initiative, you will be able to take advantage of the programs and workshops we have put together to help you reduce energy costs, improve cash flows, minimize your carbon footprint, and ensure the long-term sustainability of your business. You will also be helping to improve our community by ensuring future job creation and contributing to our Town’s overall economic growth.

Participation is free to Farmington businesses, and provides you with the following benefits:

  • Potential energy savings of 10% to 20% or more
  • Free Energy Opportunities Assessment

Farmington Initiative Workshops

We have arranged for a series of workshops to help you better understand the ins and outs of energy efficiency, new technologies, and programs to help you implement energy conservation measures. These workshops are presented by energy efficiency and related professionals who can provide both technical information and relevant examples of how various technologies can be applied to reduce your energy costs.

These workshops are free to all businesses participating in the Town of Farmington’s energy efficiency initiative, and generally run about an hour or so. The presenters are happy to remain afterwards to answer your questions. While the workshops are free, they do require advance registration. Please refer to the workshop schedule for details as to times and locations.
